Bihar Man Abducted and Forced into Marriage While Studying for Police Exams

A disturbing case of alleged forced marriage has emerged from Samastipur district in Bihar. A student preparing for the Home Guard recruitment exam claims he kidnapped, drugged, and pressured into marrying against his will. A video that shows the incident has gone viral on social media, raising widespread concern and prompting a police investigation.

The incident reportedly took place in Chakraj Ali village, in the Patori police station area. The victim, identified as Nitish Kumar from Jodi Pokhar, had stepped out of his home for work when, according to his family, two acquaintances, Kundan Rajvanshi and Rahul, lured him away. His relatives allege that the two abducted him and mixed intoxicants into a soft drink, leaving him unconscious.

The viral video from Bihar shows Nitish sitting at the wedding altar, looking disoriented and unable to understand what was happening around him. During the garland exchange ceremony, he struggles to lift his hands, while another young man helps guide his hand to complete the ritual. Nitish later claimed he regained consciousness only to find himself in the middle of a wedding ceremony. He alleged that he kept confined and given drugs to prevent him from resisting.

Conflicting claims have emerged from the two families involved. Nitish’s grandfather, Krishnadev Rai, said that discussions about marriage taken earlier but rejected by the girl’s family, who did not approve of her. He alleged that out of resentment, Nitish’s friends conspired to trap him and force the marriage.
