In the wake of the increasing cases of murder and crime across Bihar, the Bihar Police Headquarters has determined to form a dedicated “shooter cell”. It helps to monitors the crime activities in states, and take strict action against it.
Bihar ADG (Law and Order) Kundan Krishnan knowledgeable that SPs and SSPs of all districts informed to put together designated information of shooters in their jurisdictions. “The cell monitor old criminals and discover new shooters promptly to save you killings and gang-related violence. This step comes amid concerns over increasing murder cases in Patna and other districts in recent weeks,” Krishnan said.
Bihar Police Form Shooter cell
ADG Krishnan mentioned that the preference for money and a luxury lifestyle is pushing many youths towards crime. Patna has around 5 lakh childrens, with a rate susceptible to straying from the mainstream into criminal activities.
Responding to queries about the current murder of businessman Gopal Khemka, ADG Krishnan said that the headquarters supports Patna Police’s investigation and principles in the case. He focus that enough proof is available, in order to be supplied in court room to ensure justice.
Officials Efforts to Control Crime Rate in Bihar
As crime incidents rise, encounters between Bihar Police and criminals occurs under “Operation Langda” in multiple districts, includes Patna. Several BJP leaders have demanded adopting the “Yogi model” to combat crime, urging more strict police action, includes encounters.
However, ADG Krishnan said, “Encounter isn’t always the solution for this problem. Society need to come ahead, and both police and administration need public cooperation. Nothing can take place without it.”
