Bomb disposals and police team arrived at schools over Bomb Threats
According to officials, the Delhi Fire Department got the first call from a school in Najafgarh at around 6:30 am. Police teams and bomb disposal squads rushed to the schools immediately. Students and staff were evacuated quickly as a precaution. Police confirmed that thorough searches of the premises are currently ongoing.
Since January, Delhi-NCR has faced a wave of fake emails, with over 150 schools and colleges targeted in just eight months. Each incident triggers the same response: sirens, evacuation drills, parents rushing to campuses, and large police responses. Nothing dangerous has ever been found.
Delhi government impose safety rules for students
To improve safety in schools after Bomb Threats, the Delhi government has established new safety rules based on directions from the Delhi High Court. These rules focus on four main areas: prevention, preparedness, response, and recovery. Schools are required to install more CCTV cameras, conduct regular evacuation drills and update their safety checks. It ensures proper support for students with disabilities during emergencies. Each school must now submit a monthly safety report to district officials.
