Government has launched the Udan Yatri Cafe in Chandigarh and provides the affordable food and drinks to travellers. Passengers can buy the water bottle for Rs 10 (500ml), tea for Rs 10, coffee for Rs 20, and samosas for Rs 20 at Chandigarh Shaheed Bhagat Singh International Airport.

It also provides the additional services includes Wi-Fi, Digi Yatra, and a kids’ zone. This initiative taken as part of government’s vision, Ude Desh Ka Aam Nagrik.” The UDAN Cafe model is rolled out in airports across the country. Chandigarh, Hisar, and Lucknow have joined the effort to benefit all travelers.
Before this, passengers faced high prices for food and drinks at airports due to a lack of affordable choices. Now, this initiative offers some relief for ordinary people.
