Minor repair work at the rented flat of three women from Arunachal Pradesh sparked a dispute. It led to allegations of racial slurs and an FIR against a couple in Delhi Malviya Nagar. The three women accused their neighbors of humiliation and intimidation, citing racial slurs and sexist remarks.
Neighbours argument over apartments repair work in Delhi
The incident occurred last week while the women were having repair work done in their rented flat. This led to an argument with their neighbors, Harsh Singh and his wife Ruby Jain. An FIR registered under sections related to outraging a woman’s modesty and promoting hatred based on religion and race against the couple.
What happened?
On February 20, the three women called an electrician to their apartment in Delhi at 3:30 PM to install an air conditioner. During this process, dust and debris from the drilling fell to the floor below, which upset residents Harsh Singh and his wife.
One of the women told that while the work happening, some dust particles fell to the first floor, making Singh and his wife “very angry.”
The couple allegedly abused the electrician hired for the installation. As per one women, they defended the electrician and demanded to know why Singh was insulting him. “The electrician was apologizing a lot. But then they started fighting with us,” she said, also claiming that Singh threatened her.
