Forces within and outside the country are trying to destabilize India, claims PM Modi

trying to destabilize India

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, during a gathering at the Ekta Diwas Parade near the Statue of Unity in the Narmada district of Gujarat, revealed that forces acting from within and outside the country are trying to destabilize India. On the birthday of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, Modi urged citizens to know and connect with what he called the “urban Naxals” – an alleged network that he claimed was trying to weaken the nation through its activities.

In his speech on October 31, 2024, Modi further stressed that these elements are working very hard to make a bad image of India outside the country by spreading hate and creating unrest on the basis of caste lines. He repeated that attempts at destabilizing India are not only being made through rural insurgencies but have found their way into the cities as well. The prime minister appealed for vigilance, asking the public to expose the intentions of these urban Naxals and secure the unity of the nation.

Some forces in and outside India are trying to destabilise the country and spread anarchy to create a negative image of the nation in the world. They are trying to divide the country on caste lines and are against a developed India,”

Forces are trying to destabilize India but Modi emphasizes “unity”

On National Unity Day, or ‘Rashtriya Ekta Diwas,’ observed by Modi in the memory of Sardar Patel, reflects his aim for unifying India, it would always remain a great thought. Despite some doubts raised against it at that time, the very thought of Patel for unification still prevails in Modi’s present government. Furthermore, Modi says that one nation, one civil code, and the proposed one nation, one election will form the core of the strong democratic structure of India.

Modi also pointed out that Naxalism had retreated in the country. Referring to government anti-Naxalite operations that have been running over a decade, he added that once upon a time Naxalism prevailed in villages and now with a specific effort to defeat such organizations, Naxalism is “taking its last breath”.

PM Modi talks about reforms in Kashmir

Recently, Modi also touched upon some of the recent progress in Jammu and Kashmir where, for the first time in seven decades, the chief minister of the state took the oath on the Indian Constitution. He further claimed that these strides form part of a larger push against extremist forces trying to destabilize India, thus aiming to reinforce the unity of the country and a commitment to a single progressive vision.

“For the first time in 70 years, the chief minister of Jammu and Kashmir has taken oath on the Constitution,”

The prime minister calls upon Indians to be vigilant and support such integration-oriented reforms and prevent internal as well as external forces from breaking the cohesion and stability of the nation.
