This decision taken and committee formed after review meeting led by Chief Secretary Rajeev Verma. It confirms sufficient stocks but extended LPG booking intervals to 25 days and supply domestic PNG and CNG for essential sectors.
Addressing black marketing and the public panic situation
Under Amit Shah’s leadership, the 3-Minister Committee draws on his experience in handling crises, similar to his role during COVID coordination in Delhi. They are set to brief PM amid calls for transparency around energy security in Parliament.
Oil marketing companies have confirmed strong reserves and home delivery within 2-3 days. This proactive step aims to prevent panic buying, stabilize the capital’s economy, and reassure 1.4 billion Indians during global supply shocks.
