Holi celebrations across the country filled with color and joy. However, a disturbing incident in Haryana has caused outrage on social media. A video showed a cow forcefully intoxicated and made to pull a cart carrying drunk men. The clip, now widely circulated online, has sparked anger among animal lovers and calls for action against those involved.
Men force Cow to Consume Liquor in Holi
In the viral video, a group of men seen sitting on a cart pulled by a cow. Two individuals appear to force the animal’s mouth open and pour what is claimed to alcohol into it, while others watch.
The footage shared by the Instagram page ‘Street dogs of Bombay’ and gained over 36,000 views within an hour of posted. Many users condemned the act, calling it cruelty and demanding strict legal action.
Celebrations And Traditions
Holi, also known as Dhuleti, Dhulandi or RangwaliHoli, is one of the most widely celebrated festivals in India. The dates change each year because they follow the Hindu lunar calendar.
This year, Holika Dahan observed on March 2, followed by Holi celebrations on March 3. The festival represents the victory of good over evil. People mark it by smearing each other with colors, enjoying music, and sharing festive treats like gujiya, malpua, and thandai.
