In Bulandshahr, UP, a member of the Indian Air Force and his father were reportedly attacked by people from a wedding procession. This occurred after they objected to loud drinking and disruptive behavior on the road.
The incident took place on Thursday evening in Jahangirabad’s New Pukhta market. A video of the attack has gone viral, showing the IAF officer and his father being assaulted. The officer, Pratham Singh, and his father, Jitendra, who works as a school principal, asked the wedding procession to make way on the busy road. The procession was playing loud music and had a ‘ghudchadhi’ ceremony in progress.

The victims claimed that individuals in the procession were holding liquor bottles and dancing on the road, causing traffic disruptions. When they requested a clear path, it led to a fight, and the crowd attacked them with sticks and rods, which resulted in their hospitalization. They also reported that a wristwatch and a gold chain disappeared during the attack.
The police have opened a case against seven people from the wedding party and have arrested one suspect so far. Meanwhile, the wedding procession’s crowd has filed a counter-complaint. The police are investigating the matter further.
