India government said that there has been no change in LPG Refill booking timelines. It dismiss the social media claims that shows that new waiting periods for different consumer categories.
Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas said that news reports claimed the refill booking intervals changed to 45 days for PMUY connections, 35 days for double-cylinder connections and 25 days for non-PMUY single-cylinder users.
India Clarifies No Changes to LPG Refill Timelines
Refuting these claims, the Ministry said that the current rules remain the same. LPG refill bookings made after 25 days in urban areas and 45 days in rural areas, regardless of the type of connection.
The Ministry urged citizens not to believe or spread such misinformation. They warned that it could cause unnecessary panic booking of LPG cylinders.
The Ministry also reassured the public that sufficient LPG stocks available throughout the country and there is no need for concern about supply.
