Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargav inspected the multi-level parking project under construction on Adarsh Road in the Indore and announced that it will open for public use by April.
The inspection included traffic in-charge Rakesh Jain, Mayor-in-Council member Rajesh Udawat, regional corporator Pushpendra Patidar, additional commissioner Abhay Rajangaonkar, and officials from the construction agency.
Mayor announce multi level parking opens by april in Indore
During the visit, Mayor Bhargav highlighted the need for adequate parking facilities to ensure smooth traffic flow in Indore. He mentioned that the Subhash Nagar multi-level parking facility is already operational. The new multi-level parking on Adarsh Road, being developed under the BOT model, set to start by April. Once it is open, it will greatly ease traffic congestion on Adarsh Road between Gitar Square and Anand Bazaar Square.
Multi parking facility will Park 150 cars, 150 two wheelers
The upcoming parking facility in Indore will have space for about 150 cars and around 150 two-wheelers. Parking fees will follow the rates set by the IMC. The Mayor acknowledged the construction pace slow but noted that recent instructions given to speed up work on all parking sites in the city.
Bhargav also emphasized the need to encourage citizens to use designated parking areas. He said that people informed to park their vehicles only in approved spots. If vehicles are parked incorrectly, challans issued. Improving the city’s traffic system is a high priority. He is confident that once the multi-level parking facility opens, it will provide significant relief to local residents and commuters, while also improving traffic management in the area.
