Vice President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar give his resignation from his post “to prioritise health care and abide by clinical advice.” The resignation is effective right away and was submitted in accordance with Article 67(a) of the Constitution.
Jagdeep Dhankhar was serving because the Vice President of India on the grounds that 2022. He served as governor of West Bengal from 2019 to 2022. The tenure of 74-year-old Jagdeep Dhankhar, who’s also the Chairman of Rajya Sabha, was till 2027. His resignation came on the first day of the Monsoon consultation of Parliament.
What did Jagdeep Dhankhar say
In a letter, Jagdeep expressed deep gratitude to the President, PM, and contributors of Parliament for their support. “To prioritise health care and abide by medical recommendation, I renounce as the Vice President of India, effective right away, according with Article 67(a) of the constitution,” Jagdeep Dhankhar said.
I express my deep gratitude to the Hon’ble Prime Minister and the esteemed Council of Ministers. Prime Minister’s cooperation and support is valuable, and I even found out a good deal in office,” he said.
Vice President Resigns From Post Gracefully
He also thanked Members of Parliament, said, “The warmth, accept as true with, and affection I even have obtained from all the Hon’ble Members of Parliament would ever be loved at and embedded in my memory”.

It has been a privilege and pride to witness and partake in India’s superb economic development and exponential development during period. Serving in this transformative generation of our state records has been a true honor,” Jagdeep Dhankhar letter read.
