Information reveals that Dayashankar Singh, the Transport Minister of the UP government, presided over the Lakshmi Narayan Mahayagna in Ayodhya. The event concluded today when a large fire broke out just as the yagna was wrapping up. Losses in the millions are expected.
Three to four people suffered burn injuries in the fire and have been taken to the hospital for treatment. This has yet to be confirmed. It was reported that a fire ignited after the conclusion of the 108-kund Mahayagna, leading to significant flames at three locations. Firefighters managed to control the blaze after considerable effort. The District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police were also present during the incident.

Eyewitnesses described how the fire started. They reported that it broke out without any clear reason during the final moments of the Lakshmi Narayan Mahayagna presided over by the Transport Minister. The situation caused chaos at the scene, prompting the administration to evacuate the area. Witnesses stated that strong winds during the havan sparked a flame that ignited the fire.
Transport Minister Dayashankar Singh addressed the situation. He mentioned that the nine-day yagna (fire sacrifice) had been organized, with the final offering made an hour and a half before the fire started. The exact cause of the fire is unknown, as the area had been cleared when it erupted. No casualties were reported.
