Prime Minister Modi will visit Kerala and Tamil Nadu on March 11. During this trip, he will inaugurate, dedicate, and lay the groundwork for several development projects worth about ₹16,450 crore across key areas such as petroleum and natural gas, highways, rural connectivity, and railways.
Modi plan to launch Rs 16,450 crore in Kerala and Tamil Nadu
According to the Prime Minister’s Office, PM Modi will start his day in Ernakulam around 1:30 pm, where he will launch projects valued at approximately ₹10,800 crore. Later in the evening, he will head to Tiruchirappalli in Tamil Nadu to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for projects worth about ₹5,650 crore.

In Kerala
During the event in Ernakulam, he will lay the foundation for a Polypropylene Unit at the Kochi Refinery of Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited. This unit developed for over ₹5,500 crore, and have a production capacity of 400 kilo tonnes per year.
In the road infrastructure sector, PM Modi will inaugurate two significant highway projects. The first is the six-laning of the Thalapady-Chengala section of National Highway 66, built for more than ₹2,650 crore. The second is the six-laning of the Kozhikode Bypass from Vengalam to Ramanattukara, created at around ₹2,140 crore.
In Tamil Nadu
Later in the day, PM Modi attend a program in Tiruchirappalli where projects worth ₹5,650 crore launched. In the petroleum and natural gas sector, the Prime Minister will lay the foundation for a City Gas Distribution Network being developed by Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited in The Nilgiris and Erode districts, with an investment exceeding ₹3,680 crore.
