A 11 year old rape victim girl, died in Patna Hospital, after wait for hospital bed. She was from Bihar’s Muzaffarpur, who rapped and assaulted badly. The girl lured with a chocolate close to her aunt’s house and brought to a maize field in Muzaffarpur, where she raped on May 26.
Rape Victim Girl Died Due to Bad Hospital Management
The rape victim was bring to Patna Medical College Hospital (PMCH), where she wait for 5 hours after registration on Saturday , a one day before she died. The deceased woman’s uncle, Virendra Paswan, alleged that they made to wait in the ambulance with the child for two hours, but the hospital management not admit her. He said that if the girl admitted to PMCH in time, her life could have been saved.
According to the police, there have been minimizing wounds on the girl’s throat and chest. The accused attempted to kill her by slitting her throat. “Her vocal cords broken, and she unable to talk. The accused was arrested,” a police official said.
How did hospital authority response
The woman was first brought in with neck and inner injuries at the Sri Krishna Medical College and Hospital in Muzaffarpur on May 26, PMCH superintendent Dr Abhijit Singh said. Dr Singh said that the medical personnel had been prompt in their response as soon as the rape victim girl admitted to PMCH with medical doctors attending her in the ambulance.
“She taken to the ICU, and doctors from all departments treated her for the entire night time. The physician tested her in the ambulance, after which she admitted too…,” he said.
Dismissing the allegations of negligence made by the victim’s family, Singh stated, “If such an incident takes place with al, the family will make allegations of negligence. We actively treated her right when we found out around this case.”
