Union Minister Nitin Gadkari spoke at a program organized by the Akhil Bhartiya Mahanubhav Parishad. He urged people to live with honesty and dedication and avoid taking shortcuts. The minister explained that shortcuts give you fast results, but they can impact long-term credibility.
Speech of Honesty, Credibility and Truth by Nitin Gadkari
“There is a shortcut to achieve anything. A person reaches faster through shortcuts. If you want to cross the road by breaking the rules, you need to find a red light and still cross. However, one meaning of shortcut is that it cuts you short. That is why we have values like honesty, credibility, dedication, and truth. Long-lasting success belongs to truth. As Lord Krishna wrote in the Bhagavad Gita, in the end, truth always wins,” he said.
In a lighthearted way, Mr. Gadkari claimed that in his line of work, speaking the truth is not encouraged. “In the field where I work, speaking the truth wholeheartedly is prohibited. The person who can fool others can become the best leader,” he noted.
Says Chakradhar Swami is Inspiration for all
The Nitin Gadkari also highlighted the teachings of the Mahanubhav sect founder, Chakradhar Swami, describing them as inspirational for everyone. “The teachings of Chakradhar Swami inspire all to follow in their lives. Personal change is linked to the values taught to us. Chakradhar Swami taught values of truth (satya), non-violence (ahimsa), peace (shanti), humanity (manavta), and equality (samanta). Satya is the basis of our life, and we should follow it,” he said, emphasizing the importance of spreading positivity and avoiding harm to others.
