Over 100 People Killed in Ahmedabad Air India Flight Crash

The Aircraft Accident Investigation Bureau (AAIB) will launch a probe into the plane crash in Ahmedabad on Thursday. Air India’s Dreamliner Boeing 787 plane, concerned in the Ahmedabad Air India Flight Crash, had 242 peoples on board, which include 12 crew members. The plane, board for London, lost altitude quickly after takeoff and crashed into a constructing of a medical college in Ahmedabad’s Meghaninagar area.

Two pilots and 10 cabin crew members were onboard.

“Air India confirms that flight AI171, from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick involved in an accident today after take-off,” the airlines wrote. “The injured are being taken to the nearest hospitals. We have also set up a devoted passenger hotline range 1800 5691 444 to provide more data,” it said.

PM Reacts to Crash

Prime Minister Narendra Modi reacted to the Ahmedabad Air India Flight Crash, pronouncing the coincidence as “heartbreaking beyond words.” “The tragedy in Ahmedabad has stunned and saddened us. It is heartbreaking beyond words. In this sad hour, my thoughts are with anyone laid low with it. Have been in contact with Ministers and government who are running to assist the ones affected,” he wrote on X.
