A tragic incident occurred in Rampur district, Uttar Pradesh on Sunday. The accident occured truck carrying husk overturned onto a moving Bolero on the Nainital National Highway. It kills the driver instantly.
The accident happened in the Ganj police station area near Pahadi Gate. The police reported that the truck lost control while traveling on the highway and toppled onto the Bolero that was alongside it. The crash was deadly, and the Bolero driver died on the spot. “Uttar Pradesh Government” written on the Bolero.
Bolero driver died immediately in Rampur Accident
Upon receiving the news, Superintendent of Police Rampur with officers from nearby police stations, quickly arrived at the scene. Using a JCB machine, they retrieved the body from the badly damaged Bolero. After completing legal procedures, the body sent to the district hospital for a post-mortem.
In a media briefing, SP Vidyasagar Mishra stated that relief and rescue operations began immediately. He confirmed that only one person in the Bolero and no sign of anyone else trapped under the truck or the husk.

The SP emphasized that the accident served as a serious reminder for increased vigilance, particularly on busy highway sections where traffic jams are frequent. Fire service vehicles and police teams deployed to manage traffic and clear the road.
When asked about reports claiming the Bolero belonged to the UP government, the SP mentioned that they verifying the matter since “UP Government” was printed on the vehicle. Efforts were also in progress to reach out to the deceased driver’s family using the mobile number found at the scene.
