Several accidents involving adventure sports occurred in 2025, resulting in multiple deaths and injuries. In October 2025, a man fell into Tehri Lake in Uttarakhand during a paragliding training program organized by the state tourism department. In July last year, a 25-year-old tourist from Ahmedabad, Gujarat, died when his paraglider crashed at a take-off site in Indrunag, Himachal Pradesh. Kangra District Additional Superintendent of Police Hitesh Lakhanpal reported that the crash occurred during take-off when the glider failed to lift off and fell after a short distance.
