As news spread about the deaths of two young cousins in harsh weather conditions in Himachal Pradesh, a viral video revealed that their pet dog Pitbull stayed with their bodies for almost four days until rescuers found them in the same tough conditions. Bikshit Rana and Piyush Kumar, two cousins from Bharmour in Chamba district, went missing while shooting videos.
Two boys dead in intense snow in HP, Their Pitbull stand by bodies
After days of intense searching, rescue teams discovered the bodies of the two boys buried under snow. Piyush’s dog also found at the scene, bravely guarding the body despite the strong blizzard that had claimed his owner. The rescue team had to coax the dog to let anyone near the bodies.
Pet dog shivering but still guard dead bodies
The shivering dog Pitbull airlifted along with the bodies back to the boys’ home. Himachal Pradesh has faced extremely low temperatures and heavy snowfall in recent days. The Met center has also issued warnings for rain and snowfall in the higher areas of Kangra, Kullu, Chamba, Kinnaur, and Lahaul and Spiti districts.
