Secretary of Gram Panchayat Baliara, Krishna Kumar, who went to inspect under PM Awas Yojana in village Baliara in Dhamtari district of Chhattisgarh, beaten up by someone from the same village. In this example, he has lodged an FIR against the concerned person in Arjuni Police. Even after this, irritated over no action taken, the delegation of Panchayat Secretary Association met ASP Manishankar Chandra on Thursday to call for action.
PM Awas Yojana: A Housing scheme
Block president of Panchayat Secretary Association Ashok Sahu said that even the Gram Panchayat Secretary isn’t safe now. No action taken even after filing an FIR. The police officer asked to take action. If action isn’t taken after this, then Dhamtari Block Gram Panchayat Secretary Association pass on a work stop-pen stop strike.
On Wednesday, Secretary of village Baliara, Krishna Kumar, along with his colleagues Rozgar Sahayak and Awas Mitra, went to inspect the under-creation rural PM housing in the village . While returning, someone from the village stopped the Secretary and beat him with fists, accusing him of not giving the benefits of the scheme no matter being landless and embezzling cash.
No action taken after FIR
The employment assistant and housing assistance in some way intervened and rescued the secretary from there. Late in the evening, the secretary Krishna Kumar reached Arjuni police station and registered an FIR again person involved. Even after 12 hours, no action taken against the person involved in PM Awas Yojana clash. Angered by this, the district president of Dhamtari Block Panchayat Secretary Association Bhupesh Sinha, Block President Ashok Sahu and other delegations met ASP Manishankar Chandra and demanded suitable action.
