Prime Minister Narendra Modi attended the National Day Parade. He attend this event as chief guest in Mauritius. He receive state’s most honour, The Grand Commander of the Order of the Star and Key of the Indian Ocean. PM Modi express gratitude to the people of Mauritius for the honour. He stated, “I explicit my heartfelt gratitude for the Mauritius Award given to me.
He is the first Indian to acquire this prestigious award. It shows his contributions to strengthening ties among India and Mauritius. He is the 5th foreign national to receive this outstanding reputation. This marks the 21st international award conferred upon PM Modi by a foreign country.

The PM was observed by his Mauritian counterpart Navinchandra Ramgoolam for Mauritius’s 57th National Day celebrations as the Indian Navy participated in the parade with a marching contingent. An Indian Navy helicopter, the Akash Ganga Skydiving Team from the Indian Air Force and a group of NCC cadets took part in the festivities.
