PM Modi inaugurate and visit the wildlife rescue, rehabilitation, and conservation centre, Vantara in Gujarat. Vantara is home of over 2,000 species and over 1.5 lakh rescued, threatened and endangered species. PM Modi inaugurates Vantara and explored the several facilities at centre. He interacts with the various species that has been rehabilitated there.
PM Modi inaugurates Vantara , look at veterinary facilities
PM visit the wildlife hospital at Vantara and saw the veterinary facilities equipped with the CT Scans, MRI and ICUs. It is house of various departments include cardiology, endoscopy, Nephrology, Wildlife Anesthesia, Dentistry, Internal Medicine, etc. He played with the animals and fed the species include Asiatic Lion cubs, White Lion cub, Clouded Leopard cub which is a rare and endangered species. Modi also feed White Lion cub.
The Caracals was once in abundance in India and become the rare sight now. In Vantara, Caracals are bred under breeding program in captivity for their preservations and released in wild later.
Interactions with ferocious animals
PM Modi inaugurates Vantara and perform interactions with ferocious animals. He face with Golden Tiger, 4 Snow Tigers who were brothers and rescued from circus where they made to perform tricks, snow leopard and White Lion. PM patted an Okapi, come face to face with Chimpanzees. He also saw the large Python, unique two-headed snake, two-headed Turtle, Tapir, Leopard cubs which were left in agricultural field. Later it spotted by villagers and rescued, Bongo (antelope), Seals. He also saw working of elephant hospital, that is largest hospital in world. He also release parrots that has been rescued at centre.
