PM Narendra Modi is set to begin a three-day tour on Saturday, visiting five states: Mizoram, Manipur, Assam, West Bengal, and Bihar. During this tour, he will inaugurate projects worth ₹71,000 crore, aiming to improve the quality of life in India’s eastern and northeastern areas.
The focus is on his visit to Manipur on Saturday. This marks his first trip since violence erupted in the state in May 2023. He plans to launch projects worth ₹8,500 crore there.
PM Modi focus on development in Manipur
“I will attend programs in Churachandpur and Imphal tomorrow, 13th September. We are committed to promoting all-rounded development in Manipur. We will lay the foundation stone for road projects, national highways, women’s hostels, and more.
The projects inaugurated include the civil secretariat at Mantripukhri, the IT SEZ Building, and the new police headquarters in Mantripukhri, as well as a unique all-women’s market in various districts,” Modi posted on X.

The tour will start in Mizoram. Around 10 am in Aizawl, Modi launch projects of over ₹9,000 crore. He will also flag off three new trains in Mizoram: the Sairang–Delhi Rajdhani Express, Sairang–Guwahati Express, and Sairang–Kolkata Express. Additionally, he will inaugurate various projects related to roads, energy, sports, and education. These projects include the Aizawl Bypass Road, an LPG bottling plant at Mualkhang, a Khelo India Multipurpose Indoor Hall in Tuikual, and new residential schools in Mamit and Tlangnuam.
