Police arrested Shivam Mishra on February 12, 2026. He is the son of local tobacco baron K.K. Mishra. The arrest is related to a high-profile Lamborghini Kanpur Luxury Car Crash that injured several people on VIP Road.
This action followed a man’s claim that he, rather than Mr.Shivam Mishra, was driving the car during the incident. The man went to the local court to surrender. However, the court rejected his plea after the police insisted they had evidence proving Mr.Shivam Mishra was behind the wheel.
Shivam Mishra arrested in Kanpur Luxury Car Crash case
“He has arrested and will be presented before the court,” Commissioner of Police Raghubir Lal told. He was taken into custody at a hospital in Delhi, where he was treated for a medical condition, as claimed by his family. An official, who wished to remain anonymous, provided this information. The 35-year-old was then taken to Kanpur to be presented in court.
His Lamborghini injured many people and hit vehicles
The Lamborghini Revuelto, an Italian luxury sports car worth over ₹10 crore, hit pedestrians and vehicles in the upscale Gwaltoli area around 3 p.m. on Sunday, February 8. Mohd Taufeeq, an 18-year-old e-rickshaw driver injured in the crash, filed a complaint. However, the accused’s lawyer later said that Mr.Taufeeq was not interested in taking legal action. The police reported that their initial investigation, backed by CCTV footage and eyewitness accounts, showed that the car was speeding before the collision.
