Police filed case against Online Groups for sharing objectionable pictures of women bathing at Kumbh

Uttar Pradesh Police has filed a case against social media accounts for uploading pictures of women bathing at Kumbh. The officers registered the two cases against social media accounts. The first case filed against Instagram account, @neha1224872024. This account found to sharing inappropriate videos of women take bath at Maha Kumbh. The second case filed against the Telegram channel CCTV CHANNEL 11 where videos was allegedly being sold for various amounts. The police has launched the legal proceedings in cases. The officers are legal proceedings in cases to find the accused behind it.

Videos of women bathing at Kumbh Selling on Social Media

The India Today investigation has reveal the disturbing trend of recorded videos of women changing clothes and take bath at Maha Kumbh. Their videos are shared on social media. Some posts of them are used as teasers to attracts users into buying full videos on telegram.

Facebook pages promote explicit content using hashtags like #mahakumbh2025, #gangasnan, and #prayagrajkumbh to share these videos. Some of Telegram channels are also discovered giving access to groups with names like “Ganga River Open Bathing Group” and “Hidden Bath Videos Group.” After India Today’s exposé, the police take strict action to curb the alarming misuse of social media groups. Action under directives of UP Director General of Police (DGP) Prashant Kumar, authorities make efforts to identify and take action against those who misuse the pictures of women bathing at Kumbh.
