A professor at a medical college on the outskirts of Bengaluru proposed to a student in a classroom. On this, students and her classmates beat him. During class, the professor shared his feelings with the student. The woman quickly objected that cause a heated exchange.
Professor Beaten over Proposal to Student in Bengaluru
A video that has since emerged shows the professor telling the student, “You said ‘I love you’ to me.” The woman firmly denies this, replying, “I have not said it.” The footage shows the professor, mic on, stating, “I would like to propose to one of the most important girls in our batch,” before naming the student. She immediately challenged him, turning the situation into a public disagreement.
The video then shows the woman saying, “If you want to speak, you can go to the principal. The entire batch come with you.”

Professor: How come you proposed to me?
Student: When did I propose?
Professor: Didn’t you say ‘I love you’?
Student: Excuse me? When did I propose?
Professor: There is CCTV.
Student: Show me that.
As the professor started to leave the class, he said, “I will talk to you tomorrow.”
Student: I don’t want to talk.
A moment later, the situation escalated as the student and her classmates attacked the professor on campus. They were seen hitting him and beating him with slippers.
Police have visited the college and said they are looking into the circumstances surrounding the incident.
