Pro-Khalistan radical preacher Amritpal Singh seven accomplices, who release from Dibrugarh Central Jail in Assam. This action take after withdrawal of NSA costs against them and re-arrested in every other case by Punjab Police. It can be flown to the northern state on Thursday, officials said. Punjab police officers re-arrested them for attacking a police station on the outskirts of Amritsar in 2023. They got a transit remand from a court here.
“All seven detainees can be flown to Punjab under tight security. Punjab Police has secured their transit remand. And at the moment are completing the transfer process from Dibrugarh Central Jail,” a senior officials told PTI.

The seven are Kulwant Singh, Harjeet Singh, Gurinder Pal Singh, Gurmeet Singh, Bhagwant Singh alias Pradhan Mantri Bajeke, Daljit Singh Kalsi and Basant Singh. All of them released from Dibrugarh Central Jail in batches over the past 3 days as their detention period in the National Security Act (NSA) expired.
