The case of 9-year-old Tigress and her four cubs found dead due to poisoning in Malai Mahadeshwara Wildlife Sanctuary (MM Hills) has comes. On this, the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests, Head of Forest Force, issued an order and send three staffers on a 3-month compulsory leave.
Tigress and Cubs Killed by Poison
The staffers gone on compulsoryleave after tigress dead case are Deputy Conservator of Forests Y Chakrapani, Assistant Conservator of Forests Gajanna Hegde, Hanur flora and fauna department, and Range Forest Officer-cum-surveyor Madesh, Hoogyam flora and fauna variety. Santosh Kumar G, DCF, Bengaluru headquarters give extra value of Chakrapani’s duties. Stupil Manohar Ahire and Umapathy K posted as ACFs and RFO in the city of Hegde and Madesh.
While the wooded area department defined that as per Central orders, no official placed on leave or suspension for more than 3 months. Forest Minister Eshwar B Khandre said that strict disciplinary action taken against the officials if any negligence discovered.
Three arrested in Karnataka poisoning Case
The loss of life of the Tigress and her cubs came to light on June 27, when the patrol team stumbled upon the carcasses of the five tigers. Postmortem found out the case of poisoning, and on June 28, 3 people arrested. A preliminary veterinarian file found that different insecticides smeared on the carcass of the ox caused the death of the tigers.
