A helicopter flying to Kaushambi, carrying UP Deputy CM Keshav Prasad Maurya, had to make an emergency landing after it experienced a technical issue shortly after taking off from Lucknow, sources said.
According to a BJP leader close to Maurya, the deputy chief minister headed to Kaushambi for several events.

The chopper, which had five people on board, including Maurya, his aide Vivek, and two pilots, took off from the helipad at Lucknow La Martiniere College when it encountered a problem.
“Smoke seen inside the chopper soon after takeoff, forcing the pilots to make an emergency landing at the Lucknow airport,” the BJP leader explained.

Party leaders confirm that Maurya was fine and planned to travel to Kaushambi later in another helicopter.
A team of experts dispatched to determine the causes of the smoke that led the pilot to make the emergency landing in Lucknow.
