A court in Jharkhand granted bail to Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in a case registered against him for his remarks on Union Home Minister Amit Shah. Special MP/MLA court Judge Supriya Rani Tigga granted bail to Gandhi in the matter after he personally regarded.
Rahul Gandhi comments on Amit Shah over murder involvement
The case arises from a complaint filed by Pratap Katiyar, a resident of Chaibasa, alleging that Gandhi made derogatory remarks about Shah during a Congress conference in 2018. Gandhi, in his statements, had allegedly accused Shah of involved in murder.

In February this year, the Jharkhand High Court rejected Gandhi’s petition to rejects the legal defamation case. On February 27, the Chaibasa court issued a non-bailable warrant for Rahul Gandhi for failing to appear and participate in the trial. Gandhi challenged this order before the Jharkhand High Court, which eventually stayed the warrant.
Thereafter, a second non-bailable warrant was issued by the Chaibasa court against Gandhi, and he was directed to appear on June 26. Gandhi then moved to the High Court again, though it was same. The High Court then requested him to appear before the trial court room.
