In a major operation on Monday morning, a minimum of 9 Naxals killed all through and come upon by CoBRA commandos of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and local police in Jharkhand Encounter. As per officials, the gunfight started out around 5:30 am in the Lugu Hills region under Lalpania police station limits and is still underway. Security forces released the operation based on intelligence inputs around the presence of Naxal factors in the area they released.
CRPF Troops plan Jharkhand Encounter
The troops of 209 Commando Battalion for Resolute Action (CoBRA) carried out the operation wherein 6 Naxals killed, and INSAS rifles, a self-loading rifle (SLR), and a pistol seized, the officers stated. No injuries reported by a few of the protection employees, they said. The CoBRA is the special jungle battle unit of the CRPF.
11 Maoist bunkers demolished
Earlier on April 14, the safety forces demolished as many as 11 bunkers of Maoists and seized seven improvised explosives gadgets (IED) planted through the rebels in West Singhbhum district of Jharkhand, a senior police officer stated.
CRPF and Jharkhand Police, in a Jharkhand Encounter operation, detected two IEDs in a forest place close to Bakrabeda village under jurisdiction of Tonto police station on Tuesday, Superintendent of Police Ashutosh Shekhar stated, adding the explosives have been defused by the bomb disposal squad.
