NMMC destroyed Illegal Constructions In Airoli, Put Penalty of Total Rs 50,000 on Owner

Navi Mumbai Municipal Corporation (NMMC) demolished the unauthorized constructions in Airoli. The property owners who failed to comply with official notices, face the problems after NMMC destroyed Illegal Constructions. The crackdown target the illegal structures at E-76, Sector 4, Airoli, belongs to Dipali H. Singh and Hirendra R. Singh, and K-89, Sector 4, Airoli owned by Washivale Tukaram Hari. These constructions are carried out without NMMC approval.

Officials said, “notices were served under Section 54 of the Maharashtra Regional and Town Planning Act, 1966, in which owners are instructed to remove their illegal constructions. But when these directives are ignored, the civic body took decision to demolished the buildings today.”

Rs 50,000 penalty recovered from owners

The total penalty of Rs 50,000 ( 25,000 per site) was recovered from owners, after NMMC destroyed Illegal Constructions. This removal operation was conducted under management of Airoli Division Assistant Commissioner Dr. Ankush Jadhav and Junior Engineer Sandip Mhatre with officials from special encroachment police squad and G Division

The demolition process consists three hammers, one gas cutter and ten laborers. The NMMC state that same strict actions against unauthorized constructions will continue ahead
