Orissa High Court Blacklists Silicon Techlab for 5 Years Over ASO Exam Irregularities

Orissa High Court blacklist Silicon Techlab Pvt Ltd for five years due to alleged misconduct during the Assistant Section Officers (ASO) examination. According to the court’s order, the company cannot participate, either directly or indirectly, in any work related to the High Court or the courts under its jurisdiction for the duration of the ban.

Orissa High Court banned Silicon Techlab

This decision comes just days after the Odisha government ended the empanelment of Silicon Techlab Pvt Ltd because of its alleged role in the Special Investigator (SI) recruitment scam. The High Court expressed deep concern over the irregularities reported during the ASO exam held in July 2025. Previously, on November 12, the Orissa High Court had canceled the main written exam conducted by the company on July 13, citing serious doubts.

State crime branch arrest owner

Meanwhile, the company’s owner, Suresh Nayak arrested by the State Crime Branch on November 3 in connection with the SI recruitment scam. Additionally, the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) arrested another individual linked to the Odisha Police Sub-Inspector recruitment examination scam on Monday. The arrested individual identified as Amit Bharati, and he was taken into custody in Bihar, according to officials.
