Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) conducts the meeting today at PM Modi’s House. They will going to announce New CM Today on 19 feb by evening. The announcement of Delhi CM marks the new entry to return to power in the national capital. The decision will made after a meeting of BJP’s Parliamentary Board at noon. The key observers for the selection process are also appointed, as per reports.
Due to PM Modi’s visit to France and the US, there are delays in CM selection. But today, they attend meetings at BJP headquarters in Delhi.
Delhi CM selection
The new BJP legislators will take decision at 6:15 pm to select their leader on CM chair. The oath-taking ceremony will be scheduled on Thursday at 11 Am at Ramlila Maidan. As per reports, three separate stages will be set for the event. The first will given to PM Modi, Home Minister Amit Shah, Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena, and the incoming chief minister.
The second will given to religious leaders, and the third will be given to MPs and MLAs, consists 200 invitees from the BJP and its allies. Among all invited guests are AAP convener Arvind Kejriwal and outgoing Chief Minister Atishi, with Delhi Congress chief Devender Yadav
Suspense over the new Chief Minister of Delhi
Parvesh Verma is 2 times former MP who defeat Arvind Kejriwal in the New Delhi constituency. He is considered a frontrunner for the top post. The other potential contenders consist of Delhi BJP chief Virendra Sachdeva and Bansuri Swaraj, daughter of former Chief Minister Sushma Swaraj and first-time MP. Another name is Satish Upadhyay, who is a key BJP leader of the Brahmin community in Delhi
