Amit Shah Bills Introduce Today in Parliament For Removal Of PM, CMs, Ministers

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is ready to introduce three bills today. Amit Shah Bills aim to address allegations of corruption against ministers. Among them, Shah is likely to present the table of the 130th Constitutional Amendment Bill, which will present Section 5A from Article 239AA to address the issue of elected representatives, Chief Ministers, Ministers, etc. The Home Minister will also introduce the Union Area Administration Amendment Bill, 2025, and the Jammu and Kashmir Reorganization Bill, 2025.

Amit Shah Bills on removal of PM and CM

The 130th Constitutional Amendment Bill states, “After Article 239AA of the Constitution, after section (5), the following clause will be inserted, namely: -5A …” In the case of the Chief Minister, who arrested for a specific time to handle the office for any period, which is in custody for time to detain, which is five years or more. After arrest and custody, he will tender his resignation for 33 days, and if he does not tender his resignation, he will stop becoming the Chief Minister.

Kejriwal did not resign for around 6 months, after alleged liquor scam against him. The proposed amendment makes a similar provision if an assured Prime Minister arrested and kept in custody for 30 days.
