The incident occurred during a tense exchange in the House when Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi was responding to the motion of thanks on the President’s address. Union Home Minister Amit Shah interrupted Gandhi’s speech, leading to disruptions and shouting from opposition members.

Netizens Question ‘Swadeshi’ Claims

Social media users quickly criticized the BJP leader. They accused the party of promoting Swadeshi ideals while indulging in luxury foreign brands. Many users flooded various platforms with sarcastic comments and pointed questions. One user wrote, “Politicians care more about hiding designer belts than defending policies; that’s the whole system in one moment.”

As of now, Anurag Thakur has not provided any clarification regarding the viral video or the claims made online. The video continues to spread, sparking debates on image, symbolism, and political hypocrisy.

This is not the first time a leader has attracted attention for wearing luxury brands in the House.
