Few weeks before polling in West Bengal, Asaduddin Owaisi AIMIM party end their alliance with AJUP. It marks big shift in political scenarios ahead of elections.
Sting video breaks the Owaisi- Kabir Alliance
Owaisi cancelled his campaigns plans in Bengal, that includes the appearances with Kabir, and targets the key voter base. This decision came after ‘sting video’ in which Kabir allegedly spoke about his connections senior BJP leaders. He claim that the video is AI generated.
“Humayun Kabir’s revelations have shown how vulnerable Bengal’s Muslims are. AIMIM cannot associate with any statements that question the integrity of Muslims. As of today, AIMIM has withdrawn its alliance with Kabir’s party,” the AIMIM said.
Party Confirmed to run individually in elections
The AIMIM also confirmed that it will run independently in Bengal, aiming to provide a voice for marginalized communities.
“Bengal’s Muslims are among the poorest, most neglected, and oppressed communities. Despite decades of secular rule, nothing has improved for them. AIMIM’s approach in elections in any state is focused on giving marginalized groups an independent political voice. We will contest the Bengal elections independently and will not form any alliances going forward,” the party added.
