Chief Minister of Bihar Nitish Kumar submitted his nomination papers today for the RajyaSabha elections. During the nomination process, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, BJP National President Nitin Naveen, Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan, also known as Lalan Singh, Jitan Ram Manjhi, and Deputy Chief Ministers Samrat Choudhary and Vijay Kumar Sinha present in the Assembly office, along with several other senior leaders.
Bihar CM Nitish Kumar Enters Rajya Sabha
Earlier in the morning, he announced on social media that he would run for a seat in the Rajya Sabha. He mentioned that he wants to member of the Upper House.
He is now heading to the RajyaSabha. He reassured the people of Bihar that his connection with the state would continue in the future. The CM also said he would provide full support and guidance to the new government of Bihar.
Nomination scrutiny conducts on 7 March
Meanwhile, for the Rajya Sabha elections, BJP National President Nitin Naveen and the party’s state general secretary Shivesh Kumar also submitted their nomination papers today. Ramnath Thakur from Janata Dal (United), Upendra Kushwaha, the head of Rashtriya Lok Morcha, and Amrendradhari Singh from RJD also filed their nomination papers.
Scrutiny of the nomination papers for the Rajya Sabha elections for five seats from Bihar take place tomorrow. Candidates can withdraw their nominations until March 9. Voting for these seats will occur on March 16.
