Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha and Congress leader Rahul Gandhi is currently on a two-day visit to his parliamentary constituency. He faced resistance in Rae Bareli when Uttar Pradesh Minister Dinesh Pratap Singh and his supporters held a sit-in, chanting slogans urging him to “go back.”
The minister and his supporters set up the protest on the highway at Kathwara while Gandhi was en route to Harchandpur. This demonstration forced his convoy to stop nearly one kilometer short of its destination.
Rahul Gandhi Journey from Delhi to Rae Bareli
On Wednesday morning, Rahul Gandhi left his home in Delhi at 8:30 AM. He flew from Delhi Airport to Lucknow and then traveled by road to Rae Bareli. During the trip, he met with Samajwadi Party leaders at Harchandpur.
Political Posters Spark Discussion
Ahead of Rahul’s visit, a poster created by the state secretary of Lohia Vahini, Rahul Nirmal Bagi, drew attention. The poster features Rahul, Akhilesh Yadav, and Tejashwi Yadav, who are depicted as the Hindu trinity—Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh.
Bagi said that these leaders represent marginalized communities, fighting for backward, Dalit, and minority groups while opposing vote fraud. He considers them current avatars of Brahma, Vishnu, and Mahesh.
Rahul Gandhi will stay in Rae Bareli on September 10 and 11. During his time there, he plans to meet local party workers, participate in administrative review meetings, and attend various events. This is his sixth visit to Rae Bareli since the Lok Sabha elections.
