The BJP today criticized West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee for threatening Union Home Minister Amit Shah during his visit to the state. At a press conference in Bhubaneswar, BJP national spokesperson Sambit Patra claimed that Ms. Banerjee threatened the Union Home Minister.
BJP slams Mamata Banerjee, Political Tensions Arise
Mr. Patra said that this was not just a threat to the Union Home Minister, but to the entire country. He accused Ms. Banerjee of running a dictatorship in the state. He also claimed that TMC activists killed around 300 BJP supporters in West Bengal, forcing three thousand others to leave their homes. He said there have been attacks on democracy in Bengal and that Ms. Banerjee has now destroyed the state.
