The INDIA bloc protest against the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) in the state over voter roll revision. Local leaders are main blockades in Sonpur and Hajipur, where roads blocked with burning tyres. In Jehanabad, the RJD’s student wing has blocked the railway tracks.
Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, Rahul Gandhi, and RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav will be part of a rally to protest in Bihar against the important ballot body decision to revise electoral rolls and integrate the new labour code.
INDIA bloc blocks roads and halts trains
The “chakka jam” (street blockade) protest comes before Bihar Assembly elections and coincides with Bharat Bandh known as by 10 imperative trade unions and their associates across India to demand minimum wage and a new labour code, amongst different problems.
Rahul Gandhi will be part of the protest march at 10 am in Patna against the Election Commission of India’s Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of electoral rolls, marching from the Income Tax office at Golambar to the Election Commission office. Tejashwi Yadav will also take part in the march.
Tejashwi Yadav will also participate in the march. The protest is organised and subsidized by Mahagathbandhan parties, such as the RJD, Congress, Left events, Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP), and impartial Leader Pappu Yadav.

Early visuals of the protest by INDIA bloc have emerged from Hajipur, wherein RJD supporters blocked the Gandhi Setu. In Sonpur, the blockade was led by RJD MLA Mukesh Roshan.
Meanwhile, members of RJD’s students’ wing blocked train tracks at Jehanabad railway station. The announcement of the protest made during press conference on Monday attended by the Leader of Opposition in Bihar Assembly, Tejashwi Yadav, Bihar Congress president Rajesh Kumar, AICC in-charge for Bihar, Krishna Allavaru, and leaders of Left parties.
