Rohini Acharya quit politics after poll out
She explained that her decision is based on advice from Sanjay Yadav and Rameez. “I’m quitting politics and I’m disowning my family. RJD-led Mahagathbandhan loss elections
This announcement follows the RJD-led Mahagathbandhan’s heavy loss to the JD(U)-BJP-led NDA in the Bihar elections. Previously, Lalu Yadav expelled his elder son, Tej Pratap Yadav, from the party and the family due to a social media post. After his expulsion, Tej Pratap launched a new political group called ‘Team Tej Pratap Yadav’. He formed the Janshakti Janata Dal, which ran independently in the elections and fielded a candidate against Tejashwi Yadav in Raghopur. However, the party not win any seats, and Tej Pratap lost his own seat in Mahua, which he had won in 2015.
There were rumors that Rohini Acharya was unhappy with Tej Pratap’s expulsion from the party. She contested and lost the 2024 Lok Sabha election from Saran.
