Communist Party of India (Marxist)-led Left Democratic Front (LDF), that is Kerala’s ruling alliance does not see much different outcomes in vote share than in may 2024. It seems that MOTN lost the power, and BJP may win. On this, the MOTN poll Forecasts that LDF may get one seat, as in 2024, its vote share faces a fall. The survey predicts that the left alliance will drop in vote share.
In the Lok Sabha elections in 2024, BJP created history when Suresh Gopi won the Thrissur parliamentary constituency. The United Democratic Front ( UDF ) led by Congress party keep its tally by win 18 seats and LDF only won 1 seat.
What the MOTN poll Forecasts
According to Poll predictions, BJP is come out as third option in bipartisan state, even UDF leads with high seats than LDF. MOTN Poll was conducts between January 2 to Feb 9, and surveys the 125,123 individuals in all Lok Sabha segments. The survey consists of fresh interviews and long-term tracking data.
The poll surveys also shows that vote share of BJP part will have increase by 7% from 17% in 2024 year. This increase will at cost of LDF vote share, that see drop of 2%. If Lok sabha elections were held today, the MOTN predicts that BJP vote share is stand at 24%, and UDF at 42% and LDF is at 30%. Both LDF and UDF have a drop of 1 and 25 from the Lok Sabha polls
Congress Mess with its own chances
After MOTN poll Forecasts show falls in LDF vote share, Congress try to make their own chances. Rahul Verma, fellow at the Centre for Policy Research (CPR) told in reports, that it is anyone guess as who will win the Assembly elections 2026. He said, “ Kerala is the one of state where Congress has done well in Lok Sabha, and Left has lost their ground in elections in last decade.”
