Opposition Alleges BJP's Rakesh Sinha Voted in Delhi and Bihar Elections

A political storm broke out as the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and Congress accused the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) of voter fraud. They claimed that BJP MP Rakesh Sinha, who had voted in the Delhi elections in February, cast his vote again in the first phase of the Bihar Elections held today.

Bharadwaj called the allegations a “big expose.” He said that Rakesh Sinha, a BJP Rajya Sabha MP and RSS ideologue, voted in the Delhi elections from Dwarka in February and then voted in the Bihar elections from Siwan today, labeling it a clear case of fraud. He argued, “He teaches at Motilal Nehru College, Delhi University, so he couldn’t even show his Bihar address if he knew it. Do you think that if we catch the BJP government’s theft, they will change their ways? Absolutely not; they will engage in open and blatant theft.”

Opposition call out BJP Rakesh Sinha for voting in Bihar Elections

Bharadwaj also shared pictures of several people, including Rakesh Sinha, whom he claimed voted in both Delhi and Bihar. Congress leader Supriya Shrinate supported Bharadwaj’s claims, asking, “BJP leader Rakesh Sinha voted in the Delhi Assembly elections in February 2025 and again in the Bihar Assembly elections on November 5. Under which scheme is this happening?”

How does Rakesh Sinha respond to backslash

Rakesh Sinha responded to the backlash from the opposition. He explained that while he was on the voter list in Delhi during the February elections, he had changed his address to Manser Pur in Bihar’s Begusarai due to his active involvement in Bihar Elections. He also mentioned that he might file a defamation case over the allegations.

“I had no idea that politics could be so shallow. Those who question others’ faith in the Constitution should think carefully. My name was on the Delhi voter list. Due to my active involvement in Bihar politics, I changed my name to the village of Manser Pur (Begusarai). Should I file a defamation case for this accusation?” he said on X.
