PM Modi condemned the abusive comments on his Late Mother

PM Modi expressed that he never expected such language in Bihar and said, “From the stage of Congress and RJD, vulgar abuses were hurled at my mother. These are not just an insult to my mother, but to all mothers, sisters, and daughters of the nation.” He reflected on his late mother’s sacrifices, noting that she never shared her pain and worked effortlessly for her children, often putting her own needs aside.

He said, “Mother’s place is above even the gods. Every mother wants her son to succeed, but my mother sent me to serve the country. She had nothing to do with politics, yet abuses were directed at her.”

Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, who attended the event, welcomed the Prime Minister and highlighted Bihar’s commitment to women’s empowerment. He mentioned that the state government has approved Rs 1,000 crore for Jeevika, with the first installment of Rs 105 crore released.

He noted that since 2005, his government has focused on women’s welfare, granting 35% reservation for women in the police in 2013 and establishing self-help groups under the Jeevika scheme with World Bank support in 2006.
