With only hours left before the Bihar Assembly elections, Leader of the Opposition Rahul Gandhi released what he called the “much-awaited hydrogen bomb.” He accused the Election Commission of India (ECI) of working with the BJP to steal the 2024 Haryana Assembly elections.

During a press conference at the AICC headquarters, the Congress leader claimed that 25 lakh votes taken in Haryana using 5.21 lakh duplicate voters, 93,174 invalid voters, and 19.26 lakh bulk voters. Haryana has around two crore voters.
“We have clear proof that 25 lakh voters in Haryana are fake. They either don’t exist, are duplicates, or set up to let anyone vote. One in eight voters in Haryana is fake. That’s 12.5%,” he said. He added that there was a plan to turn the Congress’s expected landslide victory into a loss, despite exit polls showing a strong win for the party.

“We have what we call the ‘H Files’. This is about how an entire state stolen. We suspected this wasn’t just happening in individual constituencies, but at the state and national levels,” he explained.
Rahul Gandhi accused the Chief Election Commissioner and the two election commissioners of colluding with the BJP to secure its victory in Haryana, claiming that “they are in partnership” with Narendra Modi.
He went on to say that “Operation Sarkar Chori” started to change a potential landslide Congress victory into a loss in Haryana. To back his claim of fake voters, Gandhi pointed out a woman who appeared 223 times on the voter list across two booths. He also mentioned a Brazilian model whose photo appeared 22 times under different names in ten booths.
