Real estate company Godrej Properties Ltd (GPL) make strong start in the Hyderabad housing market by sells residential inventory worth ₹2,600 crore in its first year. The company entered the city in January with its Kokapet project. Now, it is speeding up land acquisition and increasing its premium housing offerings, as it sees great growth potential in the area.
Godrej Properties Generates the ₹2,600 Crore Sales in First Year
In January, Godrej Properties announced its entry into the Hyderabad housing market when it launched its first project at Kokapet. In an interview with PTI, Godrej Properties Executive Chairperson Pirojsha Godrej noted that the company has done particularly well in the Hyderabad market. He said, “We launched our first project in Hyderabad during the January-March quarter. We launched our second project in the July-September quarter. Between these two projects, we have achieved sales bookings of more than Rs 2,600 crore in our first calendar year of operation in the city.”

Hyderabad has become one of the fastest-growing residential real estate markets in India. Its growth driven by increasing jobs in the IT sector, competitive prices compared to other major cities, and sustained demand for premium and luxury residences. Godrej Properties sees the city as a key long-term market, with its current strongholds in MMR, Delhi-NCR, Pune, and Bengaluru.
Godrej Properties has also made two major land acquisitions to strengthen its project pipeline. It secured a 5-acre land parcel in Neopolis, Kokapet, through an e-auction held by the Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority (HMDA).
The saleable area of this land is 2.5 million sq ft, with an estimated revenue potential of ₹4,150 crore. This land used to develop a premium residential project, that is one of the company’s largest planned developments in the city.
