Kannada actor Dhanush Raj has filed a police complaint against his wife, Arshita. He accuses her of physical assault, harassment, and making threats against his life. In response, the police have registered a counter-complaint based on allegations from Arshita against the actor, including dowry harassment and assault.
Dhanush Raj Files Complaint against wife for harassing him
The complaint at the Girinagar Police Station in Bengaluru states that Dhanush Raj claimed his wife lied to him and traveled abroad without properly informing him. When he later asked her about the trip, she allegedly assaulted him and threatened to send people to hurt him and even kill him.
The First Information Report (FIR) also mentions that Arshita reportedly injured herself by hitting her hand against a bathroom glass panel. She threatened to commit suicide while falsely claiming that the actor was responsible for the assault.
Wants legal action from police
In his complaint, Dhanush Raj said that ongoing harassment and repeated threats drove him to seek protection and legal action from the police. Officials confirmed they received his complaint and have started an investigation.
At the same time, the police have registered an FIR from Arshita against the actor at the same station, alleging dowry harassment, physical assault, and emotional abuse.
According to Arshita’s complaint, she married Dhanush Raj on March 2, 2025, in Uttarahalli, Bengaluru, following Hindu customs. She noted that her parents gave 50 grams of gold jewelry and arranged the wedding as requested by the groom’s family.
