2026 FIFA World Cup has banned the Russia, Congo, and Pakistan due to the separate controversies. The tournament will set to feature 48 teams. As per the reports, Pakistan’s suspension stems from administrative failures, Russia remains the banned because of geopolitical sanctions and Congo excluded for third-party interference in football federation. With PFF failed to adopt the revised constitution aims to ensure democratic and fair elections. It was suspended by FIFA. Russian Football Union (RFU) has banned from FIFA and UEFA competitions. Neither men’s nor women’s teams compete in World Cup or European Championships. The domestic clubs are also barred from UEFA competitions. Congo’s suspension has imposed because of involvement of undue third-party interference in the affairs of the Congolese Football Association (FECOFOOT).
As per consultation with Confederation of African Football, the FIFA halt the Congo’s participation till the specific conditions are met. It consists the ceasing unauthorized financial changes and regain control of headquarters. Congo sits at bottom of Group E in CAF qualifiers

In 1950 World Cup earlier, the Germany and Japan were banned and South Africa was banned from the 1970 World Cup to the 1990 World Cup. Mexico was banned from the 1990 World Cup, and Chile was suspended for the 1994 World Cup, and Myanmar was banned from 2006 edition in Germany.
